Помощ

A participatory process is a sequence of participatory activities (e.g. first filling out a survey, then making proposals, discussing them in face-to-face or virtual meetings, and finally prioritizing them) with the aim of defining and making a decision on a specific topic.

Examples of participatory processes are: a process of electing committee members (where candidatures are first presented, then debated and finally a candidacy is chosen), participatory budgets (where proposals are made, valued economically and voted on with the money available), a strategic planning process, the collaborative drafting of a regulation or norm, the design of an urban space or the production of a public policy plan.

[Safe(r) Spaces] Diverse Knowledges

Bringing together lived experience, community intelligence, and institutional expertise

Относно този процес

Safe spaces are not about retreating from the world, but about resisting violence and enabling dignity, expression, and meaningful participation.

A safe(r) space begins from the understanding that participants are not simply users, audiences, or sources of data and information, but active knowledge holders. Facilitators should bring together diverse stakeholders and collaborators, community members, practitioners, institutions, researchers, and others, as contributors with different forms of expertise.

Lived experience, cultural knowledge, and community intelligence should be valued alongside professional and institutional perspectives. In doing so, the space creates the conditions for people to be genuinely recognised: to be heard, taken seriously, and able to shape decisions and outcomes in meaningful ways.
